Fasting to grow closer with God.

The goal of these 21 days is for you to seek the Lord and be intentional about going deeper in your relationship with Him.

January 19 - February 8 2026

As you enter into 2026, The Bridge Church wants you to reflect on how you experience the presence and power of God thru being intentional about knowing, hearing and pursuing Jesus. As you pray and fast over the next few weeks, here are four types of fasting to consider. You may choose to do one type for the entirety of the fast, or you may choose to utilize different types for the duration of your fast. Ultimately, it is between you and the Lord. We encourage you to allow the Holy Spirit to guide you in the process.

Types of Fasts

Below are a few different fasts you may choose to participate with. If you have medical needs, please consult with your medical team.

Soul Fast

Taking a Soul Fast includes giving up a particular thing like social media, TV, certain foods and caffeine etc.

Daniel Fast

This type of fast is based off of the Book of Daniel where Daniel only ate fruits, vegetables, and drank water. Click here for a great resource to guide you in this fast. 

The Partial Fast

This fast is choosing to eat during certain times. This window varies by individual but could be eight hours down to one.

The Full Fast

In this type of fast a person will commit to drink water only. After medical consultation, some people may elect to mix in juices.
